The Kentucky State Muzzle Loading
Association
This site was developed to bring together and promote the
activities of Muzzleloading Clubs across the Commonwealth of Kentucky & Surrounding Areas.
We shall promote our heritage regarding the use of early
American firearms, and declare our support of the Second Amendment to the Constitution of the United States.
The objective of this organization shall be to
encourage and advance organized competitive shooting of Muzzle Loading Firearms and to educate and re-enact the
history and techniques of our forefathers and to promote the highest standards of sportsmanship, safety, education and
good fellowship.
The Kentucky State Muzzle Loading Association is a Chartered Member of The National Muzzle Loading Rifle
Association.
Like the NMLRA,
We are dedicated to:
- The understanding of, and the ability in, marksmanship with early
American muzzleloading firearms.
- Match promotion for the purpose of advancing fine accuracy with these
arms and the establishment of standard practices for competition.
- The recognition and support for the continuing and growing interest
in the added challenge of hunting with a muzzleloading firearm.
- Greater safety with all firearms, especially with muzzleloading rifles,
pistols, and shotguns.
- The collecting, preservation, and recreation of antique firearms
and related accoutrements, and the recognition of the value of living history re-enactments.
